In 1961 I met President John F. Kennedy when I was part of the All-Star America Football team. He congratulated all the members of the team for winning 54 - 5 against Canada. I really enjoyed meeting President Kennedy, because I got as much free soda as I could drink. A few years after I met him he was shot and killed when driving along in a car.

I happened to meet John Lennon the English rockstar on the Saturday Night Live Show show in 1969. I was on the show talking about playing ping pong in China and he was promoting his album. He also played his new song "Give Peace A Chance" which I really liked. John Lennon was shot in 1980 by a crazed fan.

I met President Nixon as part of the United States Ping Pong Team. He presented me with a plaque for being made the player of the year 1971, the very next day President Nixon was accused of being part of the Watergate scandal which led to his resignation.

President Johnson presidented me with the Congressional Medal of Honor for saving my squad and Lt. Dan in Vietnam. I was in Vietnam for 2 years but was shipped home when I got shot in the buttocks.
