MiStats - Sensing Sporting Performance is an application, which can be downloaded and used on an iPhone or an iPod Touch. MiStats is a personal sports application, which will track the user's in-game or in-training performance. The application will measure several different aspects of the user's performance, these include the following; the distance covered (miles), average speed (mph), the length of time the player has been active (hours : minutes : seconds). User's can also map their training sessions. MiStats does this by displaying the location points gathered during a training session on a Google Map. Finally, MiStats also functions as a pedometer. The pedometer makes use of the iPhone's or iPod Touch's inbuilt acceleromter function.
Need To Know:
Should a user want MiStats to gather their current location they can do this in two ways. Each time the user starts the app, the first time they start the Distance Session they will be prompted to get their current location. Therefore you can close (i.e. remove app from the Launch Screen) and restart the app each time you want it to gather your current application. Alternatively you can do this, without closing the app, by clicking the Home Button and Going to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Location Warnings. Now if the user chooses to start their Distance Training Session again they will be prompted to get their current location.
Note:
The user must let the system gather their current location in order to correctly gather the distance they covered (miles), their average speed (mph), and the total duration time of their session (hours : minutes : seconds).
