What is GPS?
GPS is just a set of co-ordinates.
A satellite-based navigation system that pin points your position in the world.
A set of coordinates which represent your location using latitude, longitude and altitude with respect planet Earth.
It can also tell the current time.
So no matter where you are you know your position in the world.
It is made up of a network of 24 satellites placed into orbit by the U.S. Department of Defence.

Latutide (N/S): States your position in latitude in degrees North or South of the equator.

Longitude(E/W): location of a place on earth East or West of a north-south line called the PrimeMeridian
- Longitude is given as an angular measurement ranging from 0° at the Prime Meridian to +180° eastward and −180° westward.
