Workshop Week 3 - Working with Images

The Simpsons Family

Tasks - Using Adobe Photoshop, edit the file simpsons-family.jpg, following these instructions:

  • Resize the simpsons-family.jpg image into an image of 600 (width)*480 (height) pixels, using the command "image size" from the "image" menu. Save this image as image1.jpg (medium quality) in your simpson folder. Note: always use the save as command for the following tasks, as you will need several copies of the same image.
  • Open the image1.jpg and using the crop tool, crop an imagine containing Homer Simpsons' face. This image should be 200*250 pixels. Save this image with the name image2.jpg
  • Repeat the last point for all the characters in the image1.jpg, using the dimensions and the file names specified in the table here below.
  • Verify your work by refreshing the view of this document in your browser (press F5).
